For those of you who don't know what Portal is (you know, the game I've posted about three times in the past week), how it works, or why it's a complete mind f***, check out this video. The labs at Aperature Science, the facility within which you partake in various tests and trials in Portal, are directly correlated with the world of Halflife (hence the side by side pairing of HL2 and Portal in Orange Box). In the following clip, HL2 is modded so that a player can use the portal gun to aid complete pwnage. Watch, and hold on to your socks!
As we neared the end of Bio Shock, Chico and I determined that we would soon need even more games to play. Without a doubt, Orange Box would be the next essential purchase (as well as Halo 3 but for whatever reason it seemed secondary to Orange Box). We hurried to finalize Bio Shock, and then quickly turned on Portal. Our enthusiasm and combined genius made the game go by rather quickly.
