Since revealing my inner-weakness for the Hapa variety when publicly endowing my womb to the future offspring of one Xavier, ee.en has been able to pinpoint all of my must-be Hapa crushes to come. This time, he really hit the nail on the head:

Maia Hirasawa, you beautiful half Swedish, half Japanese lady. You are my new Hapa crush. Perhaps it's the fact that we are of similar origins, or the fact that your curly short cut is similar to mine. Maybe it's because you're the ethnic ambiguous manifestation of one of my favorite female songstresses, Regina Spektor. But maybe it's because you're just so damned cute. Either way, look out for this one ... she's one to keep an eye out for!

I am partial to the Swedish Chef and Beaker.

I enjoy the Swedish Chef because of his seemingly random and pointless appearances.  In the end however, his presence reminds us of the often overlooked stereotype of Swedes.  I also like him because my Mom is part Swedish and will try to imitate him when he comes on the screen.  Precious.  Suuure, ya betcha.

I enjoy Beaker because I love nerds. Especially, skinny, bug-eyed, pink skinned ones who say 'mee mee mee' instead of talking.  Boy oh boy.

A home-made CD my grandpa gave me recently, which is a collection of traditional swedish music that he performed on the electric piano. While I appreciate the cultural gesture, this genre of music is not of my tastes, but of course I would never have the heart to throw it out.

I guess if I had to name a CD by some one better known, it would be Big Willie Style by Will Smith.  It was the first cd I ever bought, and it was because of all that Middle School peer pressure telling me to get jiggy with it.
