Happy holidays everyone! Since I took most of my vacation days off a few weeks ago while visiting New York, I don't have the luxury of spending the entire holiday season lucidly lounging about in my Snuggie (ha ha, no I don't actually own a Snuggie. I just wear my bathrobe backwards). Fortunately, the office will be nice and quiet, so I'll have plenty of time to concentrate and lock down on my work before the new year starts.

In other news, I've been doing my best these last few months in making sure I'm being creative at least a few times a week. This means lots of little drawings to share! I try to post what I've got once a week over at my TypePad blog, but whatever I churn out always gets posted at my Flickr. Hope you enjoy, and let me know if you have any drawing requests (I'm on the look out for some fresh material, what with these new copic pens I got for Christmas!).

Hello Vox blog! Figured you and the friends you've managed to collect over the past year deserve a holiday greeting of some sort or another. Sadly, the annual holiday card did not get made this year ... so in its place I share with you this absurdly cute ornament my siblings and I found in the tree decoration box!

Horray! Cute for Christmas!  Anyway, hope you all are safe and happy and enjoying a rest before the new year comes around.  Anyone get any sweet gifts?  My brother gave me a toaster oven to make cheese toast with and my parents gave me a bottle of vintage bub. +2 for me!

  Fortunately I chose courses this semester that shyed away from any test finals.  Unfortunately that means more papers and projects.  Here's an inside on what I've manged to finish and what I have left to go before I go holiday crazy!

• 1 Painting II Final Painting (check)
  
• 1 Presentation on Media Technology: How the Facebook interface may impact social interactions (check)
• 1 Paper on my experience at MTV Games (pseudo check)
• 1 Paper on Body Modification Culture and Authorship of the Body
• 1 Annotated Bibliography in preparation for my thesis on Avatars and the Remediation of Identity

Meanwhile, I'm cozied up in Brooklyn, sipping hot chocolate and simultaneously prepping for what the winter holiday has to offer.  Such. As:

• gift shopping for the sibbies and the folks
• seeing the boys and the girls of the yay area
• brushing up on my hyphy material
• starting my senior projects/senior thesis
• reading graphic novels for my graphic novel seminar
• going to the holiday foo bar (!!!)
• new years in San Francisco, having a riot of a time

!!! Back to work.  Again! (oh vox, why are you such an adequate vehicle for procrastination!)
