Record your sketching sessions online (with voice even) at Sketchcast.com, then publish then embed them on your site. Pretty cool concept, but they don't record you taking a few seconds to select the color and width of the pen so it ends up looking a little slow. I made this one in 3 minutes and was totally lacking creative ambition, so please pardon the flat and non-climatic finish.
Yesterday was Founders Day, the first saturday in May and the celebration of our founder's birthday. The celebration is marked with a giant fair on the grass field only a minute away from my house, filled with circus rides, attractions, music, dancing, and plenty of folks just lying back and enjoying the fun
I started my day off with a bottle of Andrés Champagne at my friend Claire's annual Founders Day brunch. The rest of the day involved dancing to our very own folk band The Powderkegs, enjoying the five varieties of organic beer, strolling along the orchard by the lake with dandelions between our toes, and sitting on the grass hill taking the scene in.
We carried our day deep into night, launching a whole new direction after a somber walk through the golfcourse. We came back to my living room where we were joined by my friend Sarah and lived through the night with layers of high-c music and low-c music...from Yelle, MSTRKRFT, and GUNS'n'BOMBS to Bob Dylan and Ottis Redding.

Now it's time for a 10-page paper though. *le sigh*.

Its official. I've gotten back into video games. After recently defeating Resident Evil 4 and becoming familiar with the bloodlust necessary to slaughter teams of Spanish zombies, I thought that I had filled my gauge in the super über violent video games department. I was mistaken, however, when I began to play God of War this Saturday.
God of War masterfully combines Ancient Greek mythology with sublime graphics, gore, dynamic action, gore, and gore. You fight your way through the game as Kratos, a violent demi-god with a bloody past, seeking to end your hellish service to the Gods by destroying the God of War Ares. Throughout your journey you visit the fully detailed City of Athens, Aegean Sea, and fight your typical Greek mythological characters. Last night after defeating the first level, I grappeled the eyeball of a giant Hydra and drove his monsterous head through a pointy ship's mast, only too be followed by stabbing a Minotaur in the throat. Gorey Epic, huh?
This game is fun, damned fun. It's violent, bloody, and ravenous but hey sometimes things were rough in the days of demi-gods, right? My only qualms with it is whenever there is a female in the game, their ta ta's are fully rendered, easily in view, and at least a double D. Sure sure, historically I bet all of the women were topless in Athens. But did they all have chests á la Pamela? Maybe not.
Don't worry, the Final Fantasy, Zelda, and Mario series are still top of the list, but this game is so good it may become a favorite.
