There is a marathon of The Office tomorrow night on
television and I just may be suckered in enough to veg-out and watch
it. I'm not a huge fan of television, but ever since The Office and Lost have come out, I've managed to become the victim of televised entertainment once again.
This sort of zombie-ism was significantly present when I was in middle school (anyone remember TGIF? Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Boy Meets World, Family Matters? Yeah. You love it.).
Those shows were pretty fun, but in retrospect I expect that my dire
need to watch hours upon hours of scheduled television at that age was
in part because of what topics it gave me to converse with hormonally
imbalanced classmates during break periods. I mean, really, you
could talk about how cute Corey's older brother on Boy Meets World for
hours upon end without batting an eye. While I'd like to claim
that I've gotten over that T.V. crush thing, I've regrettably fallen
for Jim from the Office this year. Woh is me. See any correlation
between the two (hmmm)?
Girlie trivial thoughts aside, I might watch television tonight, I might sleep (what a novel idea!) or I might just play Katamari Damacy
which may lead to more creative stimulation of the dome. There
is nothing more satisfying than rolling up L'Arc de triomphe and other
global monuments with a bulging Katamari in the late evening
hours. Sorry to those of you to whom that made absolutely no
sense.
In pure spirit of sharing experiences through computer mediated
communication, I share with you the song I listen to when I ride the
train up in the morning. CunninLynguists is really good, and I've made it my summer goal to warm up to their
music and other Hip Hop masters this summer. This piece doesn't
have any words to it, but it is beautiful all the same.
