What does a good kid get for a late birthday present? An awesome hooded space monkey towel, gifted by someone who knows me way to well.
What's the best gift you received this year?
Runners up: See-Thru mini-Kaiju (from Hamza), Interstella 5555 Figurines (from Chico), Pushpaw and Pupshaw (from ee.en). and The Double Life of Veronique (from Cristian).
With a pre-launch birthday party out of the way from last night, today I've acquired the double deuce age of 22. Making teh baby steps into my twenties, today I started off with a hang-over cure @ the Pork Store Cafe on the Haight and then made my way back down the peninsula to hang out with the family. Now it's time for dinner, and cake!
I had a pretty saucesome birthday. I kicked off my 21rst with a very special gift bottle of Dom Perignon, toasting off with Chico and a few of my housemates. The party that was thrown for both myself and a few other scorpios was one of the biggest parties on campus. Luckily when it came to the keg line if I screamed 'Hey! It's my birthday! It's my 21rst!' people were kind enough to let me cut in. It was a really fun night, andafter a few
hours I head back to bed cozy and sans any potential for a hang over.
Chico's been up for the weekend, and not only has he been lovely enough to play Final Fantasy XII with me, but he is also getting me a Nintendo Wii for my birthday, and took me to see Borat yesterday. We gave it a hiiigh FIIiiive-uh. In other words, Chico is teh r0x0rz.
I don't feel much different, since I still feel like I'm 17.
While my birthday is months away, its never too soon to begin making plans for a birthday party. Particularly for this next one. I'll be turning the big old 21 in November, and as a graduating Senior in college, it's about f'in time.
Originally my plan was to have a big fiesta with all the trimmings. I love Mariachi bands, and I was hoping to hire one to play at the potential bash (although they may be difficult to find because of where my college is located). Additionally, there would be a piñata, coronas, tequila. The works.
This original idea has been set aside, however, after discussing the event with Onionania and locating the following photo by searching for photos tagged cake at flickr (a dangerous, dangerous search on a friday afternoon with a plentitude of donuts available in the kitchen only a few steps away).
At this point, its pretty much been decided that I'm going to have a Katamari Damacy themed party for my big 21rst. All those at my school who don't know what it is before hand will be required to know by the time they attend my party. Everyone will have to pick their favorite cousin to attend as. Songs like Lonely Rolling Star and Katamari March Damacy or maybe even Everlasting Love (thx Onionania!) will blast from the speakers. And most importantly, I will most likely be giddy, twinkly, and drunk.
I think [this is looking good].
A short film my best friend made for his class.
(for those of you who know him, Sean made this :D)
Shot with a super old-fashioned camera. Song: Katamari March Damashii
Note: There is a twist ending and some violence!
I'm new to memes, but I thought this one would be a good one to start.
(p.s. can anyone tell me the real definition of a meme? I have a general idea, but I'd like to build on my ever increasing nerd jargon, so any input would be much appreciated) (p.p.s.s. I found this meme on Mena's blog. Yay!)
