The blowing portion definitely can be disguised as cleaning some dust off the DS. You can't really get around the ridiculousness of talking to it however. But it's brilliant stuff and so fun.

I started writing a long reply until I realized I should just write my own post.

Short version: Zelda+DS= good times.

The wife has been playing through Phantom Hourglass- I have yet to touch it (I still have Final Fantasy III to get through before starting another RPG), but she loves the game- and the very fact that it looks like a 'classic' Zelda only makes it that much more appealing. I've been tempted lately to sit down and go through Zelda III (Link to the Past) again. *sigh*
And kudos for not caring about other commuters strange looks. :)

This is actually the game that I am currently playing. I had to yell into my DS at work. I got the crazy looks from all my coworkers, but it was so worth it. The game is great.
The things I do for a fekkin triforce...

Wait til they tell you what you could have done instead of looking crazy and yelling at a piece of plastic...

Best game of 2007. By far. Until the last second. I promise.
This is what I'm playing right now! Or, at least, I would be playing it, if a pesky thing called getting a degree wasn't in the way.

As far as the voice puzzles go, it's a lot easier just to snap in front of the mic. :)
Perhaps you could be the first to get a degree in Phantom Hourglass. You never know with these liberal arts colleges, it's worth a try!

Also, good tip :D
