Same with me. I always browse the magazine section for magazines that attract me with pretty colors and/or designs. I don't find many that I like but the ones I do find, I cherish. <3

They can get pretty expensive. x___x

yeah sometimes i really have to limit myself! i've spent up to $50 dollars on one of those magazine runs...oy. The art, photography, and design ones are always the most expensive...*shakes fist*

Wired is on my list (for reasons I will explain later in my post). I was pumped when my first issue featured 10 Ways to Identify an Onna Otaku. I love the accompanying picture to the article.

my steady faves are interview and the sun. recent lust developed on just such a rack browse for swindle. mmmmmm yummy.

Wired is one of the 9 main magazines I scan through when I visit the book stores. There's a Borders in Singapore too. Flaunt is not available in Singapore.

Can you tell me how they give you inspiration?

In the same way I would turn to a good artist's prints as inspiration material for a piece I would do, looking to magazines that excel with photography and design is a really great way to learn whats fresh and new in the visual realm. I don't get graphic design classes at my school, so these sources are really my main source of 'educating' myself. I have included some samples of magazine pieces for you to

I'm curious. Why do you put dots between the words in your titles? Is there any significance to that? Just wondering! :-D

its a style i used on one of my old, retired, and failed blogs from the past. i like lowercases and dots :), and it also defines my posts for others! heee

Thanks for showing me the things that gives you inspiration. What are the golden animal objects in the 2nd photo?
