The sky is getting brighter. Arrived around 2:30 AM to join Chico in a quest for iPhones. Do we need them? No. Are there others out there who want them? Why, yes. Are they willing to pay a couple of kids from Brooklyn to stand in line for them all day? Well, actually, yes.
Okay, more important update. Since I don't have wireless available outside on the street, I came into the giant cube to get some blogging done. Amidst posting this blog, a Mac employee asked me out to coffee. I think I was turning bright red, and everyone else looking at their respective internets may have noticed.
Anyway, back to business. So what do we have to keep us going? Iced coffee, snack packs, a hot dog stand 2 seconds away, and my DS Lite. And if I want to be real low-tech about it all, maybe Gravity's Rainbow. Wish me luck!
9:18 AM
Still alive. Venti latte keeping the juice flowing. The media has overwhelmed the site. Cameras swooshing over the scene every other minute. I wish I had a brought my bear hat to hide in. They are starting to set up a fence to seperate the people in line from the people walking on the street. If anyone wants to come visit, I'm about 74/75 in line. Jean shorts, grey hoodie. Most likely hiding or going insane.
11:59 AM
Tried to take a nap for what I thought was 2 hours but ened up being a meager 5 minutes. Apple has brought around bottles of Smartwater and Krispy Kreams to keep us all going, which was awfully generous of them. Since FAO Shwartz is right next to the Apple store, they handed out balloons and goodie bags full of all sort of franchised goods. While Chico and I were giving each other energy hugs, a man from the NYT took a couple of shots. He asked for our names, so maybe we'll show up somewhere in the print pictcha's! Also, saw Caroline, from Vox!
6:21 PM
2 8GB iPhones. The entire mac store staff stood around the ground floor and clapped as the people in line trickled in. Buying something so expensive could have never been easier. I'm delerious, and this is all very very VERY surreal. Will have lots of pictures and a description of all the sponsored swag I got when I get back home. AH!

Bring an iPhone over to JP land for all of us to break.
Yeah, no one wants me, either. :(
Good luck with the iPhone!
so did you give him your number? ;)
I can't wait to see pictures when you get your new iphone!
That is quite possibly the most depressing thing I've heard all day.
