[this is good]

Great description of your night. It's amazing the lengths that corporations will go to take advantage of a situation for their own purposes. And the media, of course, wants to paint anyone who would wait in line all night to buy something as a nut; especially if the item costs as much as the iphone does. Did they label parents who waited in line for the Tickle Me Elmo doll as kooks?

They certainly sought to identify the people who were waiting in line. It varied greatly. A lot were there becase they were mac addicts, some where there just to buy it and sell it later (basically like us, except I was also getting one for my dad). The first guy in line basically got there because he wanted to be the first guy in line. I'm sure there were a few Tickel Me Elmo folks in the crowd though.
Great pics and I really liked the way you told the story. I think it was especially cool how all the mac employees treated everyone in line like a star and I imagine it made them feel like it was worth it to be waiting in line for so long.
