early.birthday.plans.
While my birthday is months away, its never too soon to begin making plans for a birthday party. Particularly for this next one. I'll be turning the big old 21 in November, and as a graduating Senior in college, it's about f'in time.
Originally my plan was to have a big fiesta with all the trimmings. I love Mariachi bands, and I was hoping to hire one to play at the potential bash (although they may be difficult to find because of where my college is located). Additionally, there would be a piñata, coronas, tequila. The works.
This original idea has been set aside, however, after discussing the event with Onionania and locating the following photo by searching for photos tagged cake at flickr (a dangerous, dangerous search on a friday afternoon with a plentitude of donuts available in the kitchen only a few steps away).
At this point, its pretty much been decided that I'm going to have a Katamari Damacy themed party for my big 21rst. All those at my school who don't know what it is before hand will be required to know by the time they attend my party. Everyone will have to pick their favorite cousin to attend as. Songs like Lonely Rolling Star and Katamari March Damacy or maybe even Everlasting Love (thx Onionania!) will blast from the speakers. And most importantly, I will most likely be giddy, twinkly, and drunk.

I think that alcohol consumptions is why the universe was in chaos and the King required out help. You need to grab Taiko Drum Master for the party. You can play 'Katamari on the Rocks' on the drum. I would like to dress up as either a red panda bear or that crazy guy with the hair that is about 3 feet infront of him.

That is one nicely detailed cake! I like how you plan your whole party around it. Every big part should have a theme.

@Raf Excellent contribution. I do indeed have Taiko Drum Master, so that'll go on the party plan list too! Also, awesome costume ideas. I guess I'll have to dress up as the prince?

Because if anyone else gets to be the King, you're gonna have to deal with them looking at your cake and going "Oh, I thought it would be bigger. Yes, it must be bigger." all night.
YES. I also have a taiko drum, and there could be drum offs. but yes a katamari damacy party themed party makes perfect sense for a 21st birthday

this sounds like soo much fun! I love Mariachi's. I always ask for one song in particular (cien años) cause I can never remember which ones to ask for. I also love piñatas and coronas. I think I might have to do a Mexican theme for my birthday...although I dont think it'll matter since I'm Mexican already ;) it'll just be a regular theme :)

Hehe, i think if everyone knew about katamari, there should be a QOTD of wat cousin you would be. (neeeeerdaay i knoo). But I would love to dance to my song, Katamari maaaaaaaaammmmboooo.!!!
