art.field.trip!
Today I had the fortunate opportunity to go on a gallery visiting field trip with my painting class today. We all met in Williamsburg to visit my professor's art studio first. I am just beginning to explore the wide variety of sectors in the city and Williamsburg seemed very much like a hipster neighborhood with plenty of vintage clothing stores, tiny cafés, and used book venders for everyone. I do want to go back and walk around it some more.
Anyway, we visited quite a few galleries, both in Williamsburg, around NYU, and in Chealsea and saw a large body of work. I really enjoy going to galleries because they inspire me to do more art and give my eyes visual experience. The artists below were my favorites of what I saw today:
From Left to Right: Michael Schall, Elizabeth Huey, and Raoul De Keyser

Our neighborhood kicks booty these days for this kinda shit - great record store, great bookstore, good coffee ,and great eats all over the place now..And all the young hipsters bopping around help keep things fresh. Ive been living in this neghborhood for fkn ever .
Williamsburg looks like a pretty fresh place. I don't know if I'd ever be able to afford there, but it was cool to visit. I'll most likely be back, its neighborhoody filled me with a comfortable glee. I've been going to school outside of NYC for 4 years now (this is my last year) but I'm thinking about moving to NYC when I graduate.
Oh p.s., you definitely qualify as a Hapa child if you are part Filipino ! Us mixed children are the best of the best! Hapa techinically just means 'mixed', but it applies mostly to those of us who are part asian and part sumtin else. You and your sister are such cuties!
