Just finished this guy as a gift for my less than four friend Nick's birthday. Not the best of my plush creations, but he stands on his own. , and has a bow tie.
thank you! I'm a self taught crafter, so while I'm doing my best to pick up some mad sewing skills, I rely on the more simpler methods to create some of my plushies. The eyes are cut out felt. Felt is really good because you can easily cut it to a crisp shape and when you sew it on with the same color thread you barely notice that it's been sewn on. Sometimes I use black doll buttons for eyes, but in this case I wanted my schmoo to have a particular expression. so yeah! fleece and black felt, a needle and thread. It's all you need!

that shmoo is too cute! are the eyes and mouth embroidered or cut outs? i need to learn how to sew more things than just buttons.
